The Parents and Friends Association (P&F) is run by parent volunteers to provide valuable support to the school by fostering relationship and building a spirit of community between parents, families, the school, the parish and wider community and contributing resources not covered by school fees.
Most recently, the P&F have focussed on a school beautification program of works; throughout 2018 works included: installation of fans in the Dominic Centre, repainting of the concrete activity areas outside the Year 1 classrooms, laying of synthetic grass outside the library, NAPLAN i-pads, an additional fridge in the tuckshop, soft-fall in the playground area as well as contributing to catering for the whole school breakfasts. These projects are made possible from proceeds of our P&F fundraising ventures, with the Sunday Funday being our major fundraising activity which is held every two years; in 2017 the money raised by the Sunday Funday contributed to a Technology Lab.
In non-Sunday Funday years, the P&F raise money through a “Friend Raising" levy which is applied to all school accounts. This levy in 2018 was $100 per family per year (equating to $25 per family per term). A Parent Participation Plan (PPP) levy is also charged to families each year if they are not able to make the required contribution of time to the school through the PPP Program (please refer to the PPP leaflet below).
We have a well-established Class Convenor program within the school; our class convenors offer their time to act as 'liaisons' between parents and class teachers. One of their primary goals is to promote year level interactions, through organising various “get togethers" throughout the school year. We encourage all our parents to take the opportunity to become involved in these year level events to help create a true spirit of community here at St Martin's. Each year level has their own closed group Facebook page which we encourage all our parents to request joining! The P&F also support the school tuckshop and uniform shop; you are very welcome to become involved in helping out! Bookings can be made via Carebookings (please refer to the PPP leaflet below).

Our P&F meetings are held once per term, they are a great opportunity to become involved in your child's school by hearing about P&F activities, contributing to decision making and hearing the Principal's report.
