Today we began our Project Compassion campaign which will run for the remainder of this term. The theme this year is Give Lent 100%. Each week we will have a specific focus day where the children will be asked to bring along a gold coin or a little more, and donate it to Project Compassion. This week our special focus day was today where children were asked to wear a purple accessory and donate money to their class box. I am very pleased to say that our fundraising efforts today have been amazing, with the total raised being $840. For every $5 raised, the students from the Yr 6 Spirit Committee will be placing one of these stickers on a large 100% sign which they have made. Our aim is to fill the sign by the end of term. Let's keep up the great work and encourage the children to raise money for those less fortunate than us.
Next Week's focus day will be Friday, where the whole school will gather for a mini walk-athon next Friday afternoon. The children will gather their money in house colours with the team bringing in the most money gaining some extra points toward the Cross Country points. The children will be allowed to wear their house colour shirt on this day.
Remember the children are invited to bring in any coins/donations on any day and put it in the box in their classroom.
